Preview and testing

See your app in an iPhone frame in the browser, then run it on your real iPhone with a QR code.

The in-browser iPhone

Next to the chat, Zzz shows your app inside an iPhone frame. It’s not a picture: it’s your real app running. Tap buttons, scroll lists, go through the onboarding, exactly like a user would.

The preview updates as Zzz builds, so you see every change land. Spot something off? Say it in the chat and watch the fix appear.

Test on your real iPhone

The browser preview is great for iterating, but nothing beats your app in your hand:

  1. Open the test panel in the builder.
  2. A QR code appears. Scan it with your iPhone camera.
  3. Your app opens on your phone through Expo Go, a free app from the App Store.

Real gestures, real keyboard, real feel. This is where you catch what a mouse never shows: touch targets too small, animations that feel slow, text that’s hard to read outdoors.

Screenshots

Need images of your app for the App Store, a pitch or social posts? Zzz can capture clean screenshots of your screens, and even generate a full App Store screenshot set with marketing framing when you publish. See Publish to the App Store.

Good to know

  • Testing on your iPhone requires nothing technical: no cable, no developer account, just the QR code.
  • If a screen misbehaves in the preview, describe exactly what you did ("I tapped Save on the second screen") : it’s the fastest path to a fix.
