What is Mistral?

Mistral is a European AI lab making fast, efficient language models. Plug your Mistral API key into Zzz and your app can chat, write and analyze at a very competitive cost.

What it unlocks in Zzz

  • Efficient chat: a responsive AI assistant in your app, with excellent price for the quality.
  • European provider: models built and hosted in Europe, a plus if your users care about data locality.
  • Strong in French: among the best models for French and other European languages.
  • Focused tasks: classification, extraction, summaries: small Mistral models do them fast and cheap.

Get your API key

  1. Open console.mistral.ai and sign in (or create an account).
  2. Open API keys.
  3. Click Create new key and copy it.

Connect it to Zzz

  1. In Zzz, open Connections, pick Mistral, then click Add connection.
  2. Paste your key and validate.
  3. Ask for your feature in the chat: "add an assistant that answers in French about my recipes". Zzz wires Mistral into your app.

Good to know

  • Your key is stored encrypted and never exposed in your app’s code.
  • Mistral has a free experiment tier; check the console for current limits.
