What is ElevenLabs?

ElevenLabs makes the most lifelike AI voices. Plug your ElevenLabs API key into Zzz and your app can speak: read content aloud, narrate stories, answer with a voice.

What it unlocks in Zzz

  • Text to speech: turn any text into natural speech, in dozens of languages.
  • Voice choice: a large library of voices to match your app’s personality, from calm narrator to energetic coach.
  • Speech to text: transcribe what your users say, for voice notes, commands or dictation.
  • Audio experiences: guided meditations, audiobooks, language learning: voice makes apps feel alive.

Get your API key

  1. Open elevenlabs.io and sign in (or create an account).
  2. Click your profile picture, then API Keys.
  3. Create a key and copy it.

ElevenLabs has a free tier with a monthly character allowance.

Connect it to Zzz

  1. In Zzz, open Connections, pick ElevenLabs, then click Add connection.
  2. Paste your key and validate.
  3. Ask for your feature in the chat: "read my daily affirmations out loud with a calm voice". Zzz wires ElevenLabs into your app.

Good to know

  • Your key is stored encrypted and never exposed in your app’s code.
  • Voice generation consumes your ElevenLabs quota; check usage in their dashboard.
